Transcription is charged at an hourly rate with a minimum charge of one hour which includes all administration time.

It takes approximately one hour to transcribe 15 minutes of clear audio - multiply your audio time by 4 to get an estimated transcription time, e.g., 30 minutes of audio (30 x 4 = 120 minutes) is approximately 2 hours of transcribing.

Proofreading is charged per 500 words which includes all administration time.

The 'Quick Order' is an easy way to order express or standard transcription up to 60 minutes of audio/video, or proofreading up to 2000 words. Turnaround times are 24 hours for express and 48 hours for standard.

  1. Choose the service you need.
  2. Order the quantity (15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes for transcription or 500, 1000, 1500 or 2000 words for proofreading) and pay at checkout.
  3. Complete the message form on the Home page, including any special instructions, and attach your file.
  4. Your order will be completed and returned to you as requested.

There are two turnaround times for transcription and proofreading - 24 hours for express and 48 hours for standard. You will receive your completed order back within the requested timeframe.

Yes! Recording quality can make a big difference to the final transcription. Here are some tips for clear audio;

  1. Use a good quality recording device or microphone. A pre-test is a good idea if you're not familiar with recording.
  2. Speak clearly into the recorder at a close distance and at normal speed.
  3. Avoid recording where there is background noise - a good recorder will pick up a lot!
