My Story
Hello. I'm Pam and Private Type is my transcription service I manage from my home office in Mount Maunganui (and no, that's not the view from my office window - if it was I'd never get any work done!!).
I've specialised in medical transcription since 2009, and have experience with a wide range of hospital services throughout New Zealand. I'm fully certified with a New Zealand Certificate in Medical Transcription and Editing (2008).
I also manage the copy, content, and social media marketing for a small home decor business.
Before Private Type and kids, I spent 12 years in finance between lending, investment and international banking, and all things admin. It was a busy time with the introduction of EFTPOS and Internet banking, the opening of call centres and the closing of branches. Not to mention the stock market crash!
Those years were invaluable for building relationships, problem-solving, learning the importance of time management, being adaptable and professional, and not making mistakes! It helped to have a great sense of humour! And of course it was essential to treat people and their private data with integrity and respect.
